the ps2 title didn't have anything to do with the original N64 title and this one. It was a standalone game. Nintendo haves the rights for Goldeneye, so it's working with activision to make this. also explains why it's a wii exclusive

It's not really a series when you're remaking the game to a more advanced system.
Oh wait... Resident Evil... I'm wrong.
Don't ask me to play a FPS game on the Wii. I'm confused by it, put James Bond in the mix and I'll say "And I though Nightfire on the Gamecube was impossible!" Ah... 007...
Speaking of sweetness, it's the name of this guys gun: That's Steven Colbert.

I always make my posts confusing, thank you XD.
Off topic: I swear if they remake Resident Evil 2 on the Wii I will murder someone.
On topic: Is 007 Nightfire on the Wii?

I wouldn't mind a REMAKE of RE2 on Wii ^^ RE1 already proved that the remake can be awesome :3 But if they just do the same thing as with RE2 on Gamecube and simply move it to the new concole, that would suck >.<

I despise Resident Evil 2, not for storyline reasons so don't get me wrong, it has a good storyline, the problem for me is the really messed up controls. It's a bizarre angle, and moving with the joystick stick literally means turn where you want to go and press forward to go that way. It's an odd feeling when you're used to games like Final Fantasy series where you move in the direction you move the joystick. It got easier when they had the new point of view in RE4 and 5.

Yes, I agree with the control problem. It was very weird to try to get used to at the start :/
